Entrepreneur Program

Standing on Equal Ground

Our Entrepreneur Program empowers participants to turn their creativity, skills and passions into their own microbusiness through the Equal Ground Community Gift Shop & Café.

Participants have the opportunity to create and sell handmade products in a supportive, real-world retail environment while developing valuable business, customer service and financial skills.

Every sale is a step towards greater confidence, independence and work readiness, with participants keeping the profits from their products as they grow their business and work towards their personal goals.

Creating crafty creations (tongue twisters too so it seems) is a obsession of mine. I love adventuring into learning new crafts - so keep your eyes peeled for exciting new products. My microbusiness is giving me the opportunity to share my imagination with you - enjoy!

Cards by Chris

Handmade by Chris

I love to share my handmade card creations with the community. My passion for card making began while scrapbooking with my mum, which inspired me to start creating unique cards filled with creativity, colour and care. Every card is handmade with pride and a personal touch, making each one special for any occasion.

I have always had a love for being able to decorate my space and personal belongings, whether it be adding a new charm to my key ring or sticking a new button onto my bags, but why stop at making them just for myself? Why not make trinkets for others to enjoy too? Whether you're a lover for magnets or somebody who just wants a cute little button for your bag, a lover for vibrancy or an appreciator for simplicity, I am bound to have the trinket just right for you!

I started my microbusiness in March 2026 because of my passion for plants and gardening. I love growing, creating and supplying water plants. I love to help people make their homes look beautiful with my handmade creations.

Little Loves

Handmade by Katherine

Little Loves is a small handmade business creating soft, beautiful pieces for little ones. As a mum, I know just how special comfort, quality and care truly are, which is why every item is thoughtfully sewn with love and attention to detail. Every blanket, outfit and accessory is created with warmth, care and a whole lot of heart. My hope is that each piece becomes part of your family's special moments and memories.

I live with a disability and I'm proud of my strengths it's given me. I'm working now but my dream is to build a business of my own - something creative, meaningful, and truly mine. I love making personalised products, and every purchase helps me grow my skills, my confidence and my future. My goal is to work for myself.
